My private studio in Rigaud is now where I focus all my passions and projects. You can also find me a few days a week at Montreal’s renowned PSC Tattoo, established in 1976, where I get to work alongside my longtime friend and colleague from the early days, Dave Cummings.
My name is Pierre Chapelan and my journey in the world of tattooing spans more than three decades, an adventure I’m eager to share with you as I embark on this new stage.
Moving to a private space represents not just a change of scenery, but a real return to my roots, a return to the very essence of what drove me to become a tattoo artist. My workshop will be more than just a studio; it will be the beating heart of my creative universe. I plan to organize tattoo sessions, welcome guest artists for enriching collaborations, and exhibit my work as well as that of my colleagues.
Contribute to the evolution
As founder of my own tattoo parlour, Studio TattooMania in 1997, I’m following in the footsteps of my father, also a tattooist: Michel Tattoo.
I do things with passion and dedication, values that I and my wife Valérie, co-organizer of the famous tattoo conventions ArtTattooMontreal and ArtTattooQuebec, have passed on to our daughter Audrey Lune, who is now the 3rd generation of the family and whom i have the pleasure to work with in both Rigaud and Montreal.
Together, we’re part of a dynamic and committed community, and I’m delighted to be able to contribute to its evolution by sharing this space with other artists.
This blog will be your guide through this adventure. I want to create a single platform where all my initiatives will be brought together. Here you’ll find links to videos and publications, giving you access to a wide range of content that sheds light on the art of tattooing. In this section, I’ll also be sharing articles and news, magazine publications, and interviews, both past and present, to give you a glimpse into my journey and the evolution of the industry.
Artistic universe
Photos of past and future projects will also be featured, providing a visual showcase for my work and the collaborations that are close to my heart.
